Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pepetinho Perez (ranked 5592 p4p, 25387 weight class) and Dominick Hasek (ranked 449 p4p, 497 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pepetinho Perez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dominick Hasek!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Alyssa Summers and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hasek shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Perez manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Perez manages to escape and get back to his feet.
A low kick from Hasek misses

and Perez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hasek won't be happy with that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Perez is trying to get an arm triangle but Hasek is defending well.
Perez wants to control but Hasek is keeping him busy.
Hasek tries to improve position but can't.
Hasek keeping his opponent close.

Perez tries for a kimura but Hasek is defending well.

Hasek is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hasek isn't going anywhere.

Hasek is not content to let Perez control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Perez shoots in looking for a takedown. Hasek tries to sprawl out of it but Perez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hasek manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hasek closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Perez pushes Hasek off but Hasek dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hasek throws a strike aimed at the side of Perez's head but Perez avoids it well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Perez is pushing Hasek's head away, looking to escape. Hasek manages to hold on to the position though.

Hasek is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Perez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Hasek wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Perez, who protects the arm well.
Perez is looking for a sweep.
Hasek tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Perez gets back to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Perez is looking to improve his position.

That was a close round but I would say that Pepetinho Perez will probably get the nod.

Perez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Perez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hasek has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Perez has managed to get both his arms back between Hasek's legs - danger averted.

Hasek shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Perez is trying to defend but Hasek finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Hasek throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Perez works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Hasek is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

and Perez makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Perez shoots in but Hasek avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hasek is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Hasek sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Perez is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Perez tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Hasek presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

That was a close second round but I would say that Pepetinho Perez will probably get the nod.

Hasek stuffs the takedown attempt from Perez. Perez gets slowly back to his feet.

Hasek throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Perez tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hasek is in Perez's guard.

Hasek is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Perez is just riding it out for now. Hasek eventually gives up the hold.

Perez wants to clinch up but Hasek keeps it at a distance.

Hasek takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Hasek is nestled in close to Perez, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Dominick Hasek comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Perez has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
