Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shogun Silva (ranked 1535 p4p, 2400 weight class) and Aleks Kuznetsov (ranked 208 p4p, 311 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shogun Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aleks Kuznetsov!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva misses with a looping left.
Kuznetsov uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Silva has time to react.
Silva takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Silva swings for the body but Kuznetsov moves out of range.
Silva clinches up with Kuznetsov and pushes him back against the cage.
Kuznetsov wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Silva has him pressed against the cage.
Silva tries to land a knee to the head but Kuznetsov blocks with his arms.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva moves away from the strike by Kuznetsov.
Silva was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Kuznetsov has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Silva throws a body shot but no joy.
Silva throws a right hand that Kuznetsov ducks under and follows up with a left that Kuznetsov also avoids with ease.
Kuznetsov looks to land a left hand but Silva moved out of range nicely.

Silva looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Silva is wriggling around trying to escape.
Kuznetsov is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Silva can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Silva is trying desperately to improve position.

Kuznetsov is landing with some decent strikes but Silva is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Kuznetsov is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Silva has managed to free his arm - good work.
Silva looks like he's trying to stand up.
Silva flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Kuznetsov takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Silva throws a sloppy head kick and Kuznetsov moves out of range easily.

Kuznetsov working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Silva regains full guard. Nicely done.
Kuznetsov drops back looking for a leg! Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silva manages to kick Kuznetsov off! Kuznetsov jumps back into Silva's guard.
Silva is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kuznetsov defends well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Silva is looking for a triangle but Kuznetsov pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kuznetsov is in close to Silva's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Kuznetsov chips away with some ground and pound.
Kuznetsov stands up over Silva, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Kuznetsov lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kuznetsov makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Silva is rocked!
Kuznetsov gets to his feet and stands over Silva, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Silva felt that one! Kuznetsov unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Silva from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aleks Kuznetsov!
In his post fight interview, Aleks Kuznetsov started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
