Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mass Liss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Evan Walcott!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Santiago Holmes and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liss moves out of range of the strikes.
Nice defenses there by Liss.
Walcott throws a combination. Liss tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Liss gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Liss controlling the action here for a moment.
Liss misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Liss breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Walcott on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Walcott fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Liss throws a solid leg kick but Walcott takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Liss.
Walcott is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Walcott will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Liss thuds a left hand into Walcott's body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Liss lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Walcott at a distance.

Liss feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Walcott has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Liss off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Walcott cracks Liss with a right hand to the side of the head.
Evan Walcott is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Walcott lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Liss sprawling to the canvas. Walcott follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Liss hang on?

Liss is rocked!

Oh Liss is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Liss's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Liss seems to have got his legs back now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Liss moves into full guard.
Liss seems keen to control Walcott's posture.

Walcott decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Liss, up you get!
Walcott looks to land a combination but Liss avoids it well.
Liss shoots in looking for a takedown. Walcott tries to sprawl out of it but Liss keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Walcott manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Liss throws a head kick that misses.
Walcott lands the left hand.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Walcott checks a leg kick.
Walcott paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Walcott has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Walcott misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Liss lands a jab to the nose.
Liss just misses with a punch to the body.
Liss swings for the body but Walcott moves out of range.
Walcott uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Liss.
Walcott lands an overhand right.

Liss ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Walcott throws a hook but Liss blocks it.
Liss attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Liss has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Liss misses with a head kick.
Liss is breathing heavily.
Walcott misses with a jab, cross combination.
Walcott looks to throw the jab but Liss is out of range.
Walcott cracks Liss with a right hand to the side of the head.

Walcott lands a big shot that drops Liss! Can he finish him?

Walcott stands up and waves to Liss to follow him.
Walcott is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
No joy there for Walcott, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Liss throws a solid leg kick but Walcott takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Liss.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Liss dives in and grabs Walcott's left leg, looking for a takedown. Walcott pushes down on Liss's head and hops out.
Walcott rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Liss moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Walcott might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Liss ducks under a wild hook from Walcott.
Walcott throws a jab but it's blocked by Liss.

Liss has taken the fight to the clinch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Evan Walcott dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Liss misses with a low kick.
Evan Walcott seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Walcott cracks Liss with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Liss walks into a stiff left hand from Walcott.
Evan Walcott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walcott looks to land a combination but Liss avoids it well.

Liss looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Liss controlling the action here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Liss postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Walcott to stand up.
Walcott swinging wildly here.
Liss fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Walcott manages to avoid it.
Walcott misses with a double jab.
Liss lands a nice looking body shot.

Liss has taken the fight to the clinch.
Walcott tries to break the clinch but Liss is controlling the position.
Liss presses Walcott against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Walcott is breathing heavily.

Liss's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Liss closes the distance and clinches.
Liss has Walcott pushed against the cage.

Liss keeps control of Walcott as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Walcott avoids the elbow strike from Liss, against the cage.
Liss tries a body shot but Walcott blocks it.

A frustrated look appears on Walcott's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Liss misses with a hook to the ribs.
Liss avoiding damage.
Liss pushes Walcott back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Liss breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Liss bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Liss throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Walcott stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Liss lands with a good body shot.
A slow jab from Walcott misses its intended target.
Walcott takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Liss misses the shot to the body.
Liss takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Liss struggles to land a body shot inside as Walcott controls his hands.
Walcott prevents a body shot from Liss.
Liss tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Walcott's elbow.

Walcott wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Liss has him pressed against the cage.
Liss scores a nice knee to the body.

Oooooh!!! Liss has knocked Walcott down with a huge combo! Liss steps away and waves a wobbly Walcott back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Evan Walcott has been cut.
Liss Throws a clean left jab. Liss Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Walcott's chin! Walcott crumbles to the ground and Liss follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Liss!
