Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between daniel cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Borrum Someer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Borrum Someer!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
cook fails to land the takedown.
Someer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but cook moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
cook shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Someer pinned against the cage. Someer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Someer throws a head kick that misses.
cook looks for a takedown but Someer sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for daniel cook. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Someer clinches.

Someer manages to break the clinch.
Borrum Someer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Someer.
Someer fails to land a wild elbow strike.
cook can't do much from the bottom here.
cook is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
cook is trying to maintain the position but Someer is very close to passing his half guard.
cook is breathing heavily.

cook really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Someer is looking to take a break and control but cook is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Someer wants to get back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Someer gets a clinch.

Someer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Someer!
Someer connects with a single shot there.
cook keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Someer throws a right hand that cook ducks under and follows up with a left that cook also avoids with ease.

Someer throws a head kick but cook moves out of range.
cook misses with a takedown
and Someer counters with a one-two to the body.
Someer pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Someer shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Someer showed some decent athleticism there.
Someer lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Someer tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Someer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with cook. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Someer gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Someer clinches up against the cage.

Someer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

cook tries to keep at a distance but Someer has taken the fight into the clinch.
cook tries to pull guard but Someer won't allow it.

Someer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Someer connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed cook momentarily.
cook ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Someer has cook up against the cage in a clinch.
Someer goes for a takedown attempt but cook pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Someer shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

cook escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Someer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

cook looking for a guillotine here but Someer defends easily.
cook being controlled here, momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Borrum Someer dominated that round.
That's time! cook's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Someer lands with a kick to the temple. cook shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Someer clinches up against the cage.
cook jumps guard but Someer stands there with cook around his waist. cook gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Someer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Someer scores with a body shot.
daniel cook is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Someer forces cook back against the cage and clinches.
cook jumps guard but Someer stands there with cook around his waist. cook gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

cook is fighting off a takedown attempt but Someer is just too persistent for him and manages to trip cook to the mat. cook regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Someer avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
cook preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

cook has an active guard here but Someer has managed to pass into half guard.
Someer lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Someer slips a nice elbow through cook's hands, connecting with cook's forehead.
Someer drops an elbow to the side of cook's head.

cook looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
cook on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Someer stands up and beckons cook to join him on the feet.

Someer gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Someer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Someer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Someer lands a nice looking kick to the body. cook takes a step back to recover.
cook dodges the punch combination from Someer.
Someer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Someer has managed to clinch.

Someer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

cook gets caught flat footed, as Someer shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

cook is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

cook isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Someer stacks cook on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Someer!
cook is looking to reverse the position.
Someer connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused cook some visible discomfort.

cook prevents Someer from improving position.
Someer working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
cook is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
cook wants to control but Someer postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Borrum Someer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! cook's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Someer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A chopping leg kick lands by Someer.
cook shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Someer gets a takedown into half guard.
Someer lands strikes from half guard.
Someer wants to stand up but cook has a hold of him and won't allow it.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Someer lands a nice short elbow.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Someer is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

cook looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Someer decides to stand up.
No joy there for Someer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Someer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with cook but cook pushes him off and we're back to square one.

cook darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
cook will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

cook is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Someer landing strikes from the bottom.
cook wants to control but Someer is keeping him busy.
cook is stalling here. Someer is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! cook seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Someer has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
cook taking a bit of punishment here - Someer scoring with strikes.
cook can't do much from the bottom here.

Someer decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Someer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with cook, pushing him back against the cage.

Someer breaks the clinch.
Someer misses with a few strikes there.
Someer fails to land with a series of punches.
Someer throws a series of punches but cook avoids them all with ease.
Someer is looking to score with low kicks.
cook closes the distance and clinches up with Someer, looking for a takedown. cook pushes Someer against the cage but Someer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Someer forces cook back against the cage and clinches.

Someer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Someer shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
cook wants to control but Someer is keeping busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

cook looking for submissions off his back.
cook on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Borrum Someer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Borrum Someer has got the better of the ground game so far.
Someer trying to control from half guard but cook is working away.
daniel cook has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Someer might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control cook kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Borrum Someer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Someer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
