The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Lovanov. Hall does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lovanov checks a low kick from Hall.
Hall just misses with a punch to the body.
Lovanov changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Hall throws a jab but it's blocked by Lovanov.
Lovanov has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Team Grunt in the buildup to the fight.
Lovanov swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Hall falls off balance throwing a combination
and Lovanov counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Charlie Hall has been cut.
Hall throws a jab when Lovanov was well out of range.
Lovanov takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Lovanov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hall throws out a leg kick but Lovanov moves out of range and Hall only half commits.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lovanov's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hall under the eye.
Hall lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Lovanov throws a body punch but Hall moves out of range.
Lovanov throws a looping overhand right but Hall ducks down to avoid it.
Lovanov is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Hall throws a lazy right hand but Lovanov sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lovanov bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Lovanov throws the left hand but Hall avoids the punch easily.

and Lovanov counters with a lovely straight right hand!

The cut above Charlie Hall's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Lovanov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hall throws out the jab.
Lovanov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Lovanov closes the distance and clinches.
A short uppercut from Lovanov.
Hall wants to get back to striking at distance but Lovanov won't allow it.
Lovanov goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hall prevents it.
Hall lands a right hand that snaps the head of Lovanov backwards.
Lovanov tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Lovanov works on Hall's body with a couple of short punches.
Lovanov struggles to land a body shot inside as Hall controls his hands.
Lovanov misses with a punch to the body.
Lovanov is working Hall over against the cage.
Hall looks winded!

Hall gets underhooks to prevent Lovanov's takedown attempt.

Charlie Hall's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Charlie Hall's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
