PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abdul Keji (ranked 554 p4p, 1424 weight class) and Evan MacMillan (ranked 15 p4p, 35 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Evan MacMillan was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abdul Keji!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Evan MacMillan!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacMillan dives in for a single leg takedown but Keji sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Keji swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
MacMillan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

and Keji counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps MacMillan thinking.

MacMillan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Keji is trying to defend but MacMillan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

MacMillan with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Keji's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Keji connects with a good right hand that stumbles MacMillan. MacMillan circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

It looks like Evan MacMillan has been cut.
MacMillan closes the distance and clinches up with Keji, looking for a takedown. MacMillan pushes Keji against the cage but Keji circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

MacMillan shoots for a double leg takedown but Keji sprawls well. He's pushed MacMillan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
MacMillan shoots in but no luck this time.

Keji is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Keji cracks MacMillan with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! MacMillan looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Keji finish him?

MacMillan is rocked!
BAM! Keji delivers a spinning backfist that drops MacMillan like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
