Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Fardoche Fermier (ranked 2386 p4p, 4849 weight class) and Dechlan Tomsett (ranked 145 p4p, 233 weight class). Dechlan Tomsett will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tomsett cracks Fermier with a right hand to the side of the head.
A combination from Tomsett does no damage.
Fermier half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Tomsett tests Fermier's chin there with a solid looking shot.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Fermier pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
I was talking to Fermier's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Tomsett on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Fermier misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Tomsett.
Tomsett gets underhooks to prevent Fermier's takedown attempt.

Fermier has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Tomsett uses from the top position.

Tomsett got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fermier has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tomsett has managed to get both his arms back between Fermier's legs - danger averted.

Tomsett is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Fermier has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Tomsett is looking to defend but Fermier has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Tomsett! Fermier pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Tomsett taps out and this one is all over!
