Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jørgen Thrane (ranked 1118 p4p, 544 weight class) and Hunt Mfer (ranked 157 p4p, 83 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jørgen Thrane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Hunt Mfer!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jonathan Paton and Bruno Lombardi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Thrane does no damage.
Mfer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mfer works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Thrane lands a lovely overhand right.
Mfer moves out of range of the leg kick from Thrane.
Thrane fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mfer has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Thrane connects with an inside leg kick.
Thrane slips under a jab.
Mfer takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Hunt Mfer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thrane shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Mfer throws a lazy uppercut
and Thrane cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Thrane misses with a looping right.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mfer comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Mfer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Mfer shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Thrane napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Mfer laying and praying for a moment but Thrane takes advantage and regains half guard.

Mfer is looking for a kimura but Thrane is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mfer to get the leverage.

Mfer seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Thrane has recovered full guard.
Mfer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Thrane is keeping the position for now.
Thrane wants to stand up but Mfer is controlling him.

Mfer controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Mfer tries to free his leg and advance position but Thrane is retaining full guard.
Thrane bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mfer's guard.

Mfer is looking to sweep but instead, Thrane has passed into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mfer is looking for a sweep. Thrane is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Mfer tries to bench press Thrane off him but Thrane keeps the position.
Thrane wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mfer keeps working.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Thrane working away.
Mfer tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Thrane is staying tight to Mfer's torso, preventing him from escaping.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Thrane wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mfer keeps working.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Mfer lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Thrane at a distance.
Mfer lands a jab.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jørgen Thrane dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Mfer throws a sloppy head kick and Thrane moves out of range easily.
Mfer throws a hook to the side of Thrane's head but Thrane sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Thrane looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Hunt Mfer seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Mfer checks a low kick from Thrane.

Mfer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Thrane looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Mfer wants to take a breather but Thrane manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Mfer.

Mfer engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mfer prevents Thrane from getting back to his feet.

Mfer has gone for a leg lock! Thrane slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mfer's guard.

Mfer looking for a guillotine here but Thrane defends easily.

Mfer looking for a triangle here. Thrane is fighting it but it looks tight! Mfer pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Thrane is tapping out - this one is all over!
