PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Wolfgang Von Wild (ranked 4861 p4p, 5329 weight class) and Kyle Reeler (ranked 420 p4p, 435 weight class). Reeler comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Don’t question my heart kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Wolfgang Von Wild!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kyle Reeler!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Von Wild shoots in but Reeler avoids the takedown attempt easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Wolfgang Von Wild will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Reeler fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Von Wild sprawls well initially but Reeler persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Von Wild is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Reeler makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Von Wild had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Reeler defends it easily.
Reeler must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Von Wild working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Reeler doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Reeler manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Reeler keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Von Wild's head.

Reeler got a little sloppy there for a moment and Von Wild has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Reeler has managed to get both his arms back between Von Wild's legs - danger averted.
Reeler is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Von Wild has his feet on Reeler's thighs here. He's pushed Reeler off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Reeler screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Our winner, Wolfgang Von Wild, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
