Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jackson Sigler!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sigler shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Souza walks into a jab.
Souza stuffs the takedown.
Souza tried to score with a low kick but Sigler checks it.
Sigler is looking to clinch but Souza is avoiding it.
A lazy body kick from Sigler

and Souza counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Souza pushes down on Sigler's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Sigler is trying to maintain the position but Souza is very close to passing his half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Souza in particular looking to stall.

Souza is looking to advance position but Sigler won't allow it.
Souza is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Souza is thwarting Sigler's attempts to control the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Sigler takes the fight into the clinch.
Sigler stalls.

Sigler escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Sigler gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Souza pushes down on Sigler's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Souza passes to side control.
Souza wants to stand but Sigler has his arm trapped.
Sigler is looking to reverse the position.
Souza is staying tight to Sigler's torso, preventing him from escaping.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sigler tries to buck Souza off but Souza is having none of it.

Souza is trying to get an arm triangle but Sigler is defending well.

Souza is working to tighten his grip on Sigler's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Sigler has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Souza is really squeezing tight and eventually Sigler passes out! Souza breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
