Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ross tries to clinch but Nunez moves out of range.
Nunez feints the counter takedown.
Nunez throws a series of punches but Ross moves out of range.
Nunez swinging wildly here.
Nunez avoids the head kick by Ross.
Ross shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nunez as he jumps to the side.
Ross fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ross misses with a shot to the body

and Nunez counters by clinching up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nunez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nunez pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ross back to the cage. Nunez follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ross looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Ross shoots in for a takedown but Nunez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Nunez!
Nice straight punches there by Nunez. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Nunez.
Nunez cracks Ross with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

and Nunez counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Ross!

Ross explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nunez throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Ross changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nunez tries to avoid it but Ross manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nunez to the ground. Nunez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nunez changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rick Ross. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ross looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Nunez tries to bum rush Ross with a series of wild strikes but Ross uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A nice combination there by Nunez.

It looks like Rick Ross has been cut.
Ross does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Nice body punch from Nunez.
Ross looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Ross shoots in for a double leg but Nunez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Nunez is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Oh Ross is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
OH! Ross has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Nunez smells blood and charges in for the finish! Nunez unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Ross sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
