The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Borsteinn has taken the fight to the clinch.

Borsteinn pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Borsteinn moves into range and clinches up with Hernandez.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Borsteinn.
Hernandez definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Borsteinn lands a right hand.
Hernandez tries to score a body lock takedown but Borsteinn shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Borsteinn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Borsteinn tries to close the distance and clinch but Hernandez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Borsteinn tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Hernandez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Snorri Borsteinn has been cut.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Borsteinn instigates a clinch.
Borsteinn lands an uppercut.
Borsteinn fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Hernandez blocking some punches.
Hernandez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hernandez is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Borsteinn gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Borsteinn breaks the clinch.

Borsteinn misses with some punches.
Hernandez blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Borsteinn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Borsteinn pulls Hernandez in close to his closed guard and prevents Hernandez from doing any damage or advancing position.

Hernandez keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Borsteinn's head.
Hernandez makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hernandez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Hernandez lands a couple of digs.
Hernandez postures up in Borsteinn's guard and throws a big left but Borsteinn blocks it.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hernandez's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Hernandez gets to his feet and stands over Borsteinn, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Borsteinn felt that one! Hernandez unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Borsteinn from any more punishment!
