Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryder Miller (ranked 4629 p4p, 4467 weight class) and Leopoldo Costa (ranked 477 p4p, 467 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryder Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Leopoldo Costa!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Costa clinches with his opponent.
Miller displaying some good clinch control by pressing Costa up against the cage.
Costa pulls Miller into guard.
Costa had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Miller defends it easily.
Costa escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Miller gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Costa is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Costa has his foot on Miller's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Miller works his way back into a safe position though.
Miller engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Costa is trying to control the position but Miller postures up.
Costa looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Miller has picked Costa up and slammed him! Costa can't keep hold of the triangle and Miller manages to pass to side control!
Costa is looking for a sweep.
Costa is letting Miller control him for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Costa tries to improve position but can't.
Miller content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Miller has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Costa is trying to improve his position.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Miller's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
You can see the frustration on Costa's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Leopoldo Costa.
Well Costa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Leopoldo Costa was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
