Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Coco Nuts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Hester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hester tries to clinch there but Nuts circles away.
Hester looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nuts is fending him off so far but Hester persists. Nope, Nuts circles away and we're back to standing.

Nuts is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hester can't fight it off and eventually Nuts manages to take the fight to the floor. Hester looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Nuts decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Nuts fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hester sprawls well initially but Nuts persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Hester can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Nuts controls the pace.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Nuts is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Hester is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nuts's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nuts's back!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hester is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Nuts is defending well though. Hester let's go of the attempt for now.

Hester has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Nuts has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Patrick Hester has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nuts, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
