Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Diego Armando!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Terry Silver!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Columbo Gatti and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armando with a nice calf kick.
Armando lands a slapping body shot.
Silver falls off balance throwing a combination
and Armando counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Diego Armando seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've been told by Armando's head coaches at Memento Mori that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Silver lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Armando circles away quickly and effectively.
Silver takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

As Silver backs away, Armando returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Silver takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Armando looks to land a left hand but Silver moved out of range nicely.
Silver dips to his left and cracks Armando with an uppercut!
A kick lands to the mid section there for Armando.
Armando buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Armando. That's going to slow Silver down.
Armando throws a leg kick
and Silver counters with a stiff right hand.
Silver misses with the combination.
Armando takes a swing at Silver's ribcage but misses.
Armando connects with a solid leg kick.
Silver takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Armando throws a hook to the side of Silver's head but Silver sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

It seemed like Silver was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silver avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Silver tries to bum rush Armando with a series of wild strikes but Armando uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Silver takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Silver throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Armando works Silver's body with a nice hook.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Silver throws a looping overhand right but Armando ducks down to avoid it.
Armando feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Silver tries to close the distance and clinch up but Armando swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Armando is looking to slow Silver down with leg kicks.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Diego Armando dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Armando fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Silver has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Silver drops his hands momentarily and Armando takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Armando connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Armando pounces like a tiger and cracks Silver with a vicious hook! Silver is down but not out! Armando follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
