Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shen Po (ranked 139 p4p, 349 weight class) and Leyte Gulf (ranked 19 p4p, 52 weight class). Po's entrance music is Ei-tetsu Hayashi & 木下伸市. A fine choice. Gulf comes into a darkened arena with his song building. For Heavy Metal we will die! kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Leyte Gulf will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shen Po!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leyte Gulf!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Po slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Gulf lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Gulf throws a quick inside leg kick.
Gulf misses with a straight left.
Some bone on bone action there as Po checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Gulf lands a nice shot that snaps Po's head back.
Po throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
It seemed like Gulf was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horrible takedown attempt by Po or perhaps it was just good defense by Gulf, which made it look bad.

Po jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gulf walks away with a smile on his face. Po gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Gulf counters with a nice low kick that buckles Po's knee momentarily.

Po throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Gulf escapes and throws Po's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Po is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Gulf working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Leyte Gulf comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Gulf winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
