And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dave Lummer!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burgundy lands a slapping body shot.
Lummer misses with a lunging right hand
and Burgundy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Burgundy has closed the distance and engaged Lummer in a clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Burgundy.

Burgundy ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Burgundy no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Burgundy is on top in guard.

Burgundy is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Burgundy passes Lummer's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Burgundy's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Burgundy is nestled in close to Lummer, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Burgundy slips a nice elbow through Lummer's hands, connecting with Lummer's forehead.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Burgundy connects with a nice short shot to Lummer's temple.

Lummer is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Burgundy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lummer is just riding it out for now. Burgundy eventually gives up the hold.
Lummer has hold of Burgundy's hands but Burgundy slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Lummer is still in real trouble! Can Burgundy finish him?

Burgundy lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Lummer! More strikes land and this one is all over! Burgundy jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
