Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Richard Morrison (ranked 24891 p4p, 5152 weight class) and Old Vet (ranked 525 p4p, 434 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Richard Morrison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Old Vet!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morrison digs a good hook to Vet's body.
Vet misses with an uppercut. Morrison saw that one coming.
Morrison misses the shot to the body.
Morrison scoring well with a low kick there.
Morrison looks to score with a jab to the body but Vet is just out of range.
Morrison misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Morrison tries to bum rush Vet with a series of wild strikes but Vet uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Vet has a takedown stuffed.
Morrison misses with a leg kick
and Vet counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Good work by Morrison as he checks the leg kick.
Morrison ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vet moves away.
Vet lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Morrison looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Morrison swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Vet swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Morrison shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Vet tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Morrison throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Morrison is looking to wear down Vet with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Vet fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Morrison looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Morrison looks to score with a jab to the body but Vet is just out of range.

Vet throws a nice inside leg kick.
Morrison pivots, looking for a leg kick but Vet is out of range and Morrison settles back down.
Morrison walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Vet takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Vet avoids the body shot from Morrison.
Vet feints a counter leg kick.
Vet gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Morrison counters with a single leg into guard. Vet didn't expect that.

Vet is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Vet pulls Morrison into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Morrison wants to control from the top but Vet keeps moving.
Morrison is stalling in the full guard.

Morrison trying to control the position from guard on top but Vet is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vet is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Vet keeping moving, preventing Morrison from controlling successfully.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Vet enables Morrison to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Vet manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Vet not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vet looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Morrison passes into side control.

Morrison tries a low kick but Vet avoids it.
Vet throws a nice outside leg kick.
Richard Morrison is winning the standup battle so far.
Morrison takes a swing at Vet's ribcage but misses.
A little jabbing left from Vet on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Morrison uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Vet.
Morrison feinted with a counter takedown.
Vet tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Morrison defends well and Vet ends up having to push Morrison into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Morrison throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Morrison steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Vet.
Morrison half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Morrison shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Vet napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Vet throws Morrison to one side and escapes!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A bone on bone clash there as Vet blocks the leg kick.
Vet tries to score with a low kick but Morrison moves his leg out of the way.
Morrison thumps Vet with a low kick.
Vet fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Morrison has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Vet on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Morrison lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Vet has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Vet and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Vet wants to land a leg kick but Morrison is out of range.
Vet throws a solid leg kick but Morrison takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Vet.

Morrison looks to score with a jab to the body but Vet is just out of range.

Morrison throws a series of punches but Vet moves out of range.
Vet misses with a head kick.
Morrison blocks a jab.
Morrison slaps away a takedown attempt from Vet, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Morrison is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Vet's half guard.
Morrison wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vet keeps working.
Morrison wants to pass to mount but Vet is defending the position.
Morrison wants to take a breather but Vet is having none of it.

Vet wants to control but Morrison is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Vet is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Morrison is staying active.

Morrison seems to be working for a kimura but Vet defends the submission attempt.
Morrison is taking a breather. Vet says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Vet wants to get back to full guard.

Vet working a defensive guard but Morrison manages to pass into side control anyway.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Morrison tries to move to mount but Vet blocks the move with his legs.
The referee asks Morrison politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Morrison prefers to stall for the moment though.

Morrison swings around for an armbar but Vet sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Morrison's guard.

Morrison pushes Vet off and scrambles back to his feet.

and Morrison decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Vet's guard.
Vet is looking to stand back up but Morrison counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Vet.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Vet trying to hold on to Morrison's head to control him but Morrison postures up.

Vet might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Morrison haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Morrison tries to pass the half guard into mount. Vet knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Morrison looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Morrison wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vet keeps working.
Morrison cracks Vet with a big right hand but Vet just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Vet looks to move to half guard but instead Morrison has passed into mount! Damn!
Vet wants to control but Morrison is having none of it.

Richard Morrison is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Morrison avoids the attempt from Vet to control.
Vet working to try and regain half guard.
Morrison controlling the pace for now.
Vet is looking to get to half guard.

Morrison controlling his opponent.
Vet is trying to escape the mount.

Vet can't escape the position.
Morrison looking to control and managing it successfully.

Morrison seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Vet is holding on tight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Richard Morrison showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Morrison has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
