Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Clint Rivers (ranked 2107 p4p, 1443 weight class) and Stephen Hawking (ranked 280 p4p, 196 weight class). Stephen Hawking will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Clint Rivers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Stephen Hawking!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivers misses with a shot to the body
and Hawking counters with a nice uppercut.
Rivers misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hawking.
It seemed like Hawking was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Hawking throws a shot to the body.
Hawking looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Rivers looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Hawking fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rivers manages to avoid it.

and Hawking connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Rivers uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hawking.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rivers walks into a straight right hand from Hawking.
Hawking lands a big uppercut and Rivers crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Rivers looks OK. Hawking waves Rivers back to his feet!

Rivers throws a big shot that misses.
Oh Rivers is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Hawking throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rivers sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Rivers seems to have got his legs back now.
Hawking cracks Rivers with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Hawking has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Rivers to stand back up!
Rivers looks to score with a jab to the body but Hawking is just out of range.
Rivers misses the jab.
Hawking takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Hawking works Rivers's body with a nice hook.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Rivers throws a hook to the side of Hawking's head but Hawking sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Hawking fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Rivers misses the jab.
Hawking avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hawking cracks Rivers with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Rivers looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Hawking finish him?
Hawking pounces like a tiger and cracks Rivers with a vicious hook! Rivers is down but not out! Hawking follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Stephen Hawking!
An out of breath Stephen Hawking thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
