Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Tartaro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tito Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ortiz has chosen Rollin' - Limp Bizkit as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tito Ortiz!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tartaro takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Tartaro lands a with a good body shot.
Tartaro throws a right hand that Ortiz ducks under and follows up with a left that Ortiz also avoids with ease.
Tartaro tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Tartaro tries to clinch but Ortiz is having none of it.
Mark Tartaro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ortiz tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

and Tartaro makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ortiz can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tartaro shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ortiz as he avoids it easily.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Tartaro closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Ortiz goes for a takedown attempt but Tartaro pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Tartaro throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Ortiz takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ortiz shoots for a takedown but Tartaro saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Ortiz slips a jab and a cross from Tartaro.

Ortiz closes the distance and clinches.
Tartaro wants to get back to striking at distance but Ortiz won't allow it.

Tartaro shoots in looking for a takedown. Ortiz tries to sprawl out of it but Tartaro keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ortiz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tartaro, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
