Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jamaal Albashir (ranked 3842 p4p, 5270 weight class) and Mehmet Shakaromanov (ranked 474 p4p, 572 weight class). Shakaromanov is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Wolf Totem. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jamaal Albashir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mehmet Shakaromanov!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shakaromanov lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

and Albashir counters with a series of strikes. Shakaromanov will be more careful next time no doubt.

Albashir fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Shakaromanov checks it well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shakaromanov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Albashir moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Albashir seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

and Albashir counters with a stiff right hand.
Albashir fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Shakaromanov has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

and Albashir counters with a nice low kick that buckles Shakaromanov's knee momentarily.
Donk. Shakaromanov catches Albashir right on the button with a cross.
Albashir moves out of range as Shakaromanov strikes.
Albashir was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Albashir keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
As Shakaromanov backs away, Albashir returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Shakaromanov will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A left lands for Shakaromanov.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Albashir was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

A close round but Mehmet Shakaromanov will probably get the nod.

Shakaromanov throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Albashir.
Albashir quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.

enabling Albashir to counter with a crisp jab.
Albashir is looking to slow Shakaromanov down with leg kicks.
Albashir goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Shakaromanov throws a lazy uppercut
and Albashir cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Albashir drops Shakaromanov with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Shakaromanov looks back up at him and smiles so Albashir waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Shakaromanov is rocked!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Albashir counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Shakaromanov is still on wobbly legs! Can Albashir finish him?
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Shakaromanov might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Albashir has got the better of the exchanges.

Shakaromanov seems to have recovered his senses.

Shakaromanov lands a left and a right that send Albashir crashing to the mat, dazed. Shakaromanov thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Albashir is rocked!
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Shakaromanov throws an overhand right that drops Albashir like a sack of potatoes! Shakaromanov dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mehmet Shakaromanov!
A relieved looking Mehmet Shakaromanov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
