Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Evan Sartori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Sobral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sartori comes to the cage accompanied by The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thiago Sobral!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sobral fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Sobral tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sartori paws at him with a jab and circles away.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Sobral has eaten all the pies!
Sartori looks for a takedown but Sobral sprawls well.

Sartori shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sobral's guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Sobral really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sartori. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sobral shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sartori as he jumps to the side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sobral throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sartori's waist but Sartori gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sobral off to one side.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sartori stands up over Sobral, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Sartori drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sobral manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sartori has Sobral in his guard.
Sobral won't allow Sartori to sweep him here.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sartori, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
