Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pancho Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Rodrigo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodrigo is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Pachanga - Calienta. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Diego Rodrigo enters the cage!

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez motions for Rodrigo to come forward. Sanchez throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Rodrigo.
Sanchez on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Rodrigo throws an elbow but Sanchez slips to the side and avoids it well.
Rodrigo lands some shots froms side control.
Sanchez takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Sanchez is trying to control Rodrigo's posture but Rodrigo avoids it.
Rodrigo tries to move to mount but Sanchez blocks the move with his legs.
Rodrigo wants to control but Sanchez is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rodrigo decides to stand back up.

Sanchez instigates a clinch.
Rodrigo has had enough of the clinch but Sanchez keeps him there for the moment.

Sanchez darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Sanchez wants to control but Rodrigo is keeping him busy.
Sanchez seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Rodrigo wants to get back to his feet.

Sanchez wants to stand up but Rodrigo has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Rodrigo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sanchez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sanchez's back!

Rodrigo has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Sanchez.

Sanchez manages to stand up with Rodrigo still on his back. Eventually Rodrigo drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.
Sanchez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rodrigo but Rodrigo pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Sanchez looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Sanchez decides to return to a standing position.

Sanchez takes the fight into the clinch.

Sanchez tightens his grip and picks Rodrigo up, before dumping him to the ground. Rodrigo manages to land in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sanchez stands up and waves to Rodrigo to follow him.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rodrigo is on top in guard.
Sanchez avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Sanchez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Rodrigo has gone for a leg lock! Sanchez slips out almost immediately though and dives into Rodrigo's guard.

Rodrigo is looking for a triangle but Sanchez pushes his legs off easily.
Rodrigo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sanchez!
Rodrigo is landing with some decent strikes but Sanchez is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Rodrigo is keen to just control but Sanchez is a slippery customer.

Sanchez tries to get to full guard but Rodrigo has control of the leg.
Sanchez is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest.
Sanchez tries to roll over but Rodrigo keeps him under control.
Rodrigo has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Sanchez tries to get back to half guard but can't.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sanchez is in a horrible position here. Rodrigo smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Sanchez is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Rodrigo lands a big elbow.
Oh Sanchez is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rodrigo working the ground and pound effectively.
Rodrigo is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sanchez can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diego Rodrigo dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Rodrigo is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Sanchez flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Sanchez is out cold! Rodrigo holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
