The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
VonMueller connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
A telegraphed right hand from VonMueller misses the target.
Donk. VonMueller catches Okina right on the button with a cross.
Okina blocks a jab.
A combination from Okina does no damage.
VonMueller checks a low kick from Okina.
Okina throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
VonMueller defending well as Okina loads up on a big left hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Okina takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Okina closes this distance looking for a takedown but VonMueller circles away.

Okina shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has VonMueller pinned against the cage. VonMueller gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Okina shoots for a double leg takedown but VonMueller sprawls well. He's pushed Okina's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Klaus VonMueller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hiapo Okina.

Okina throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
VonMueller lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

VonMueller throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Okina sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Okina throws a jab when VonMueller was well out of range.

Okina lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

and Okina takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Okina takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Okina looks to score with a jab to the body but VonMueller is just out of range.
Hiapo Okina is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Okina ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hiapo Okina seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
VonMueller scores with a crisp jab that stopped Okina in his tracks.
A punch lands to the side of Okina 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from VonMueller, right into the meat.

Okina is trying desperately to land a takedown but VonMueller is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Okina.

VonMueller connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

and VonMueller connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Okina is rocked!
