Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Richards (ranked 2739 p4p, 5123 weight class) and Islam Magomedsharipov (ranked 379 p4p, 568 weight class). Richards comes to the cage accompanied by 300 Violin Orchestra. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Magomedsharipov lands a jab-cross combination.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Magomedsharipov shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Magomedsharipov leaves Richards with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Magomedsharipov lands a nice hook to Richards's body. Richards takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
We've been told by Richards's head coaches at Julians Sports Bar & Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Richards looks for a takedown but Magomedsharipov sprawls well.
Magomedsharipov tries to counter by closing the distance.

Richards shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Magomedsharipov as he avoids it easily.

Magomedsharipov lands a left and a right that send Richards crashing to the mat, dazed. Magomedsharipov thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Jacob Richards has been cut.

Richards shoots in for a takedown but Magomedsharipov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Magomedsharipov drops Richards with a huge uppercut! Richards drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Magomedsharipov is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
