Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tim Blast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and billy joyce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blast's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Scary Kids Scaring Kids - My Darkest Hour. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
joyce tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
joyce fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Blast darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Blast falls off balance throwing a combination
letting joyce counter with a right hand.
Blast walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

and joyce counters with a nice double leg into side control. Blast won't be happy with that.
Blast might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
joyce throws an elbow but Blast slips to the side and avoids it well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

joyce is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A jab from Blast finds it's way through joyce's defenses.

joyce wants to stand and escape but instead Blast has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Blast controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
joyce working a defensive guard but Blast manages to pass into side control anyway.

Blast decides to stand back up. Blast steps back and let's joyce get back to his feet.

Blast wants to get back to his feet.
Blast prevents joyce from moving into mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

joyce wants to control but Blast is keeping him busy.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

joyce tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Blast paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Blast throws a combination but it was largely blocked by joyce.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Blast wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Blast is pressed up against the cage. joyce has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Blast down to the mat. Blast avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

The fight stays on the outside here - joyce looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Blast connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed joyce momentarily.

Blast lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for joyce!
joyce tries to lock up and control but Blast gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Tim Blast has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tim Blast.
I think joyce has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
