Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 42 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Krzysztof Zakrzewski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Muhammed Baird!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Baird shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Zakrzewski is trying to defend but Baird finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Zakrzewski looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Baird thows a huge punch but Zakrzewski dodges it nicely.
Baird is controlling the pace.

Baird looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Baird can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Baird instigates a clinch.
Zakrzewski jumps guard but Baird turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Zakrzewski accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Zakrzewski manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Baird is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Zakrzewski to keep the fight standing.
Baird looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Baird tightens his grip and picks Zakrzewski up, before dumping him to the ground. Zakrzewski manages to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zakrzewski is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Baird not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Baird avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Baird decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Zakrzewski half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Baird fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Zakrzewski to the ground. Baird is now in Zakrzewski's guard.
Zakrzewski not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Baird's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Baird must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Baird throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Zakrzewski tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Baird is in Zakrzewski's guard.
Baird stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zakrzewski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Baird is looking to work some ground and pound but Zakrzewski has wrist control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Baird looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Baird gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Baird lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Baird bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Baird wants to control but Zakrzewski is keeping him busy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
You can see the frustration on Zakrzewski's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Muhammed Baird comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Baird has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
