Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Nguyen stalks Evans and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Evans's face. Evans staggers backwards, shaken.
Nguyen misses with a looping right.
Evans half committed to a counter leg kick.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Nguyen scores with a decent looking hook.

Nguyen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Evans sprawls well initially but Nguyen persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nguyen is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Evans sees it coming and defends easily.

Nguyen is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Evans has managed to free his arm - good work.
The fighters are battling for position here. Evans manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Nguyen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Evans is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Nguyen, into his guard.

Nguyen can't keep his opponent in guard - Evans advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Nguyen is refusing to be controlled, as Evans sits in half guard.
Nguyen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Evans is keen to just control but Nguyen is a slippery customer.

Evans has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Nguyen defend it? Evans steps over the head and cranks it - Nguyen is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Evans!
