And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fernando Lopez!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez tests Lights's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Lopez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lopez! But no joy.
Lights looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lopez is fending him off so far but Lights persists. Nope, Lopez circles away and we're back to standing.
Lights fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lights shoots in but Lopez avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lopez swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Lights wants to clinch up but Lopez keeps it at a distance.
Lopez looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Lopez catches Lights with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Lights tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lopez swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Night Lights. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters circle momentarily. Lopez darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Lights tries to clinch up.

and Lopez counters with a nice right hand that sends Lights toppling to the canvas! Lights scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Lopez finish him?!

Oh Lights is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lights has his takedown stuffed
and Lopez scores with a counter punch that sends Lights to the canvas! Lopez smells blood - he's punishing Lights with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Lights has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
