Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Charlie River (ranked 637 p4p, 2513 weight class) and Rounin Hashima (ranked 37 p4p, 145 weight class). River comes into the arena with Waylon Jennings - I've Always Been Crazy blaring out of the sound system. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
River paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
River misses with a combination
and Hashima counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Charlie River has been cut.
Hashima's hands are dropping dangerously low here and River connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hashima scrambles back to his feet.
Hashima sizes up River with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
River throws a body shot but no joy.
Hashima swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Charlie River seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
River throws a lazy right hand but Hashima sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hashima has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
River is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
River throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hashima on the side of the head.
Hashima takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
