Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Damian Dudley (ranked 1013 p4p, 1648 weight class) and Aleks Nik (ranked 145 p4p, 215 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nik fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Dudley tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Dudley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nik stays in close to Dudley's body and controls the position.

That was a close round but I would say that Damian Dudley will probably get the nod.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
