James is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Come To Daddy by Aphex Twin. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kimbo Slice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Liam James!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, John Mangel and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slice looks to throw the jab but James is out of range.
Slice scores with a jab to the body.
We've been told by Slice's head coaches at kill or be killed F boring Fights that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
James feints and then cracks Slice's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Slice down.
Slice swings widly with a right hand
and Slice takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We've been informed that James has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Slice misses with an uppercut
and James counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Kimbo Slice has been cut.
James with a nice cross.
James loads up on a big right hand but Slice slips the punch.
Slice throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Slice takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Slice throws a good cross that connects.
James throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Liam James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
James does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
James misses with a straight left.
A quick step to the side and Slice tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sloppy strikes from James. Those never looked like landing.
It looked like Slice was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from James.
A slow jab from Slice misses its intended target.
James is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Slice on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
James looks to score with a jab to the body but Slice is just out of range.
James misses with a double jab.
James moves into range and connects with a jab.
Slice throws an overhand right that lands on James's shoulder, as James tries to avoid the shot.
Slice swings widly with a right hand
and James counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Slice on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
James waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Slice.
James scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Oooooh!!! James has knocked Slice down with a huge combo! James steps away and waves a wobbly Slice back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Slice is rocked!

Kimbo Slice's cut is getting worse.
This has been an exciting period of action!
James grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Slice takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! James cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Liam James!
Liam James thanked the fans post fight for their support.
Kimbo Slice was interviewed post fight and said 'You know, losing your title doesn’t feel good. But he fought great tonight and capitalized on my mistakes. I had a great camp and now it’s back to the drawing board and onto the next opponent. I will get this rematch and have that championship in my hands once again... Mark my words.'.
