Martins comes to the cage accompanied by Kwabs - Walk. Soda has chosen 3 Nights as his entrance music. 3 Piece Soda has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Thomas Martins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, 3 Piece Soda!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soda is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Martins shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Soda sprawls well. Soda wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Martins gets slowly back to his feet.
Soda misses with a few strikes there.
Soda stalks Martins and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Martins's face. Martins staggers backwards, shaken.
Soda scores with a takedown into Martins's guard.
Soda passes Martins's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Soda takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Still in half guard, Soda seems content to control.
Soda has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Soda moves into full mount! Martins won't be happy about that!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Martins tries to reverse the position but Soda maintains control.
Soda controlling the pace for now.

My spies in Punch Out Gym inform me that Soda has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Martins knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Soda on the ground.

Soda working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Martins's coaches at have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Soda lands a nice shot to the head.

Soda looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Martins covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
