The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McTavish shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Taamu is trying to defend but McTavish finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

McTavish is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Taamu is just riding it out for now. McTavish eventually gives up the hold.

McTavish is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Taamu doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time McTavish.

McTavish is looking for a kimura but Taamu is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for McTavish to get the leverage.

McTavish wants to control the pace but Taamu is squirming around nicely.
