PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kristof Pardi (ranked 1510 p4p, 1581 weight class) and Karsten Koererlaerer (ranked 170 p4p, 174 weight class). Pardi comes into the arena with Party Boy Theme blaring out of the sound system. Kristof Pardi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koererlaerer ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Koererlaerer moves out of range of the body kick.
Koererlaerer keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pardi.
Koererlaerer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pardi but Pardi pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Pardi cracks Koererlaerer with a good jab.
Koererlaerer takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Koererlaerer misses with a head kick.
Pardi throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Koererlaerer moves out of range as Pardi strikes.

Koererlaerer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Pardi seems keen to control Koererlaerer's posture.
Koererlaerer with a flurry of punches that miss.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Koererlaerer working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Koererlaerer trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Pardi looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Koererlaerer postures up in Pardi's guard and throws a big left but Pardi blocks it.
Pardi seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Koererlaerer wants to control from the top but Pardi keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Pardi scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Koererlaerer is rocked!
Pardi lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
