Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Hall (ranked 1145 p4p, 1796 weight class) and Alexandru Mircea (ranked 169 p4p, 261 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

With a record of 19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexandru Mircea!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mircea bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Charlie Hall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mircea walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Hall lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The fighters circle momentarily. Mircea darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Hall lands with a straight right. Mircea didn't see that one coming.
Hall throws a lazy right hand but Mircea sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
No joy there for Hall, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hall is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Charlie Hall's cut is getting worse.
Hall lands a right hook to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hall steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Mircea. That one must have hurt.
Mircea jabs Hall right on the nose. Hall blinks but takes it well.
Mircea steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hall.
Mircea lands a really nice looking cross but Hall seems unphased.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hall crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Mircea - the referee stops the clock and Hall gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Mircea. Hall manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Mircea. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
