Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tobias Soares (ranked 4481 p4p, 4584 weight class) and Craven Moorehead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moorehead loads up on a big right hand but Soares slips the punch.
Soares tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Moorehead manages to circle out of the way.
Nice uppercut lands for Moorehead. That snapped Soares's head back.

Moorehead lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Soares manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Moorehead on his heels. He'll look to pass Moorehead's guard now, I'm sure.

Soares drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Soares jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Soares stands and throws Moorehead's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Moorehead parries the strikes from Soares easily there. Soares is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Moorehead to escape.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Moorehead can do anything to dispel that myth.
The referee asks Soares politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Soares prefers to stall for the moment though.
Tobias Soares overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tobias Soares.
