Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rick Rypien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ato Boldon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ato Boldon told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rypien lands with a nice combination. Boldon backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Ato Boldon has been cut.
Rypien jabs at Boldon's body.
Boldon fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Boldon defending well as Rypien loads up on a big left hand.
Rypien stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Rypien throws a series of punches but Boldon avoids them all with ease.
Boldon fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Rypien is looking to clinch but Boldon is avoiding it.
Rick Rypien seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boldon is holding his hands too far apart here. Rypien throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Boldon is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
