Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mesoma Lam (ranked 4513 p4p, 4717 weight class) and Will Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Williams wants to clinch.
Williams takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Will Williams has been cut.
Williams fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lam looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Lam defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Williams.
Lam looks for a takedown but Williams sprawls well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lam shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Williams as he avoids it easily.
Lam throws a right and a left that both miss.

Williams throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lam tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Williams is in Lam's guard.
Lam has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Williams is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Lam fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Williams is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Williams has his foot on Lam's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lam works his way back into a safe position though.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Williams shoots for a double leg takedown but Lam sprawls well. He's pushed Williams's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
It appears Lam was looking to counter with a kick there.
Lam throws a series of punches but Williams moves out of range.
Lam plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

and Lam counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Williams throws a right and a left that both miss.
Lam avoids the body shot from Williams.

and Lam counters with a straight right hand.
Lam dives in and grabs Williams's left leg, looking for a takedown. Williams pushes down on Lam's head and hops out.
A little jabbing left from Williams on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Williams throws a head kick but Lam moves out of range.

Williams blocks an elbow strike from Lam.
Lam is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Williams can do to turn this around?
Lam tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Williams tries to pull guard but Lam holds him up against the cage and eventually Williams drops back down to his feet.
Lam jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Williams walks away with a smile on his face. Lam gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lam looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Williams throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lam's waist but Lam gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Williams off to one side.
Williams shoots in looking for a takedown. Lam tries to sprawl out of it but Williams keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lam manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Lam in particular looking to stall.

Lam is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Lam wants to stand up but Williams manages to regain full guard.
Mesoma Lam overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Williams shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lam closes the distance and clinches.

Lam jumps guard but Williams turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Williams turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Lam sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Lam is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lam is pressing down on Williams's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Williams takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lam lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Lam stands up and waves to Williams to follow him.

Lam feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Lam is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Lam pushes down on Williams's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Lam looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Lam wants to work for an arm triangle but Williams is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Williams is trying to get back to full guard.
Williams wants to control but Lam is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Lam's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lam wants to control the position but Williams says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
