And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 45 - 20 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Patrick Chaelsson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thomas throws the left hand but Chaelsson avoids the punch easily.
Chaelsson swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Thomas looks to throw the jab but Chaelsson is out of range.

Chaelsson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Thomas cracks Chaelsson with a right hand to the side of the head.
Thomas lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Chaelsson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Thomas had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Chaelsson has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

and Thomas takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Thomas engages and cracks Chaelsson with a massive lead left hook - Chaelsson tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Thomas is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jax Thomas!

A relieved looking Jax Thomas thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
In defeat, Patrick Chaelsson stepped up to the mic, saying 'WTF???'.
