Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Abel Stamp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and methos lage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Abel Stamp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, methos lage!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stamp swinging wilding here.
Stamp avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Stamp darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

lage looking for submissions off his back.
lage is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
lage is trying to control but can't.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Stamp in particular looking to stall.
lage is refusing to be controlled, as Stamp sits in half guard.

Stamp is working for a kimura but lage is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Still in half guard, Stamp seems content to control.

Stamp wants to lay and pray for a moment but lage keeps working.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
lage swings for the body but Stamp moves out of range.
lage lands with a nice combination. Stamp backs away looking to recover.
lage fails with a takedown attempt.
A combination from Stamp does no damage.
Stamp throws a sloppy head kick and lage moves out of range easily.
lage throws a jab but it's blocked by Stamp.
lage looks to score with a jab to the body but Stamp is just out of range.
Stamp lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but lage circles away quickly and effectively.
Stamp misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Stamp closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Stamp lands in his opponent's guard.

Stamp postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! lage is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Stamp, into his guard.

Stamp working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. lage doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. lage manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Stamp throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Stamp is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. lage is aware though and is defending well.

lage is working Stamp over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
lage throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stamp works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

lage has gone for a leg lock! Stamp slips out almost immediately though and dives into lage's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

lage looking for a guillotine here but Stamp defends easily.

lage escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stamp gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Stamp stays in close to lage's body and controls the position.

Stamp gets to his feet. lage looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
lage fails in his attempt to clinch.
Stamp misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Stamp lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

The fighters circling - lage throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Stamp closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Stamp has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

and Stamp counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Stamp misses with a takedown attempt - lage sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Stamp shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as lage sprawls well. lage wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stamp gets slowly back to his feet.
Stamp avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Stamp connects with a single shot there.
lage doesn't manage to clinch there - Stamp circles away.

lage clinches up with Stamp and pushes him back against the cage.

Stamp escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stamp throws a one two combo.
Stamp looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Stamp lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Stamp tries to bum rush lage with a series of wild strikes but lage uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

lage drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

lage wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Stamp, who protects the arm well.
Stamp wants to control but lage postures up.
Stamp is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because lage is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

lage decides to stand up, so the ref orders Stamp to his feet.

It looks like he might have it! lage tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Stamp cranks the arm and lage screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from lage, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
