Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marie Pier Houle!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Venegas dives in for a single leg takedown but Houle sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Houle let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Houle misses with a hook to the ribs.
Houle lands with a short punch from the clinch.
A short right from Houle on the inside.
Houle swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Houle lands with a left to the head.
Houle tries to throw a body punch but Venegas avoids it by throwing Houle back against the cage.
Houle works on Venegas 's body with a couple of short punches.
Houle throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Venegas s head.
Venegas tries for a takedown. No joy.
Houle misses with a punch to the body.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Houle.
Houle working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Houle blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Houle presses Venegas against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Venegas tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Houle just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frankie Venegas . That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Houle is pressed up against the cage. Venegas has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Houle down to the mat. Houle avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Venegas gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Houle counters with a stiff right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Houle moves into the clinch successfully.
Venegas jumps guard and drags Houle to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Houle slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Houle content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Venegas has locked up a guillotine! Venegas 's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Houle is holding on here and Venegas must be using up a lot of energy. Houle has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Venegas gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Frankie Venegas !
A determined Frankie Venegas didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
