PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Natas Reaper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Natas Reaper was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Doe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Natas Reaper!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reaper has a takedown stuffed.

Doe slips a jab and a cross from Reaper.
Doe lands a nice shot that snaps Reaper's head back.
Reaper misses with a looping right.
Reaper will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Doe slips a straight right by Reaper.
Doe avoids the head kick by Reaper.
A combination from Reaper does no damage.
Doe waves his right hand out infront of him, looking to distract Reaper. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Reaper to the canvas! Can he finish him!?


Reaper is rocked!


It looks like Natas Reaper has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Doe pushes down on Reaper's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Reaper is still in real trouble! Can Doe finish him?
Doe is thwarting Reaper's attempts to control the position.
Reaper seems to have recovered his senses.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Doe in particular looking to stall.

Reaper is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Doe pulls his head out easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jon Doe just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Reaper rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Doe moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Natas Reaper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Doe fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Reaper, pushing him back against the cage.
Doe lands a left hand.
Still in the clinch, Doe scores with a nice short uppercut.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Doe lands a right hand that snaps the head of Reaper backwards.
Doe gets through Reaper's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Doe lands a nice uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jon Doe dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Natas Reaper's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Ouch! a nice leg kick from Doe, right into the meat.

Doe takes the fight into the clinch.
Doe is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Doe pushes Reaper back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Doe lands a body punch.
Doe lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Reaper backwards.
Doe lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Reaper jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Doe walks away with a smile on his face. Reaper gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Doe fails with the takedown
and Reaper counters with a straight right hand.
Reaper is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Doe fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Reaper out cold! Brutal finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Jon Doe!
