Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haze throws a good cross that connects.
Haze takes a swing at Diamond's ribcage but misses.
Diamond doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
A nice leg kick lands there from Haze .
Haze misses with a body shot.
Diamond missing with a left hand there. Haze was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Diamond fails with a takedown attempt.
Haze moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Diamond pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Diamond moves into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Diamond pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Haze misses the jab.
Haze blocks a jab.
Haze showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Diamond.

A lazy left from Haze finds it's target.
Haze 's coach down at Sprawl & Brawl was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Haze 's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Diamond has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Haze .
Diamond misses with a takedown attempt - Haze sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Diamond has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
No joy there for Diamond, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
James Diamond seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Haze misses with an uppercut. Diamond saw that one coming.

Haze gets a takedown into half guard.
Diamond wants to stand back up but Haze manages to pass into side control.
Haze tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Diamond tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Haze presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Haze throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Diamond because Haze loaded up on that one.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Haze tries to control but Diamond wriggling away.
Diamond manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Diamond blocking the ground and pound attempt from Haze .

Haze throwing shots but Diamond is blocking nicely.
Haze misses with a head shot. Diamond uses the momentum to regain guard.
Haze missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Diamond lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Haze escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Diamond gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Haze is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Diamond frees his head nicely. Oh but Haze has switched to an armbar! Diamond is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Darryl Haze decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
James Diamond was interviewed post fight and said 'Well shit I’m going to get my ass back to the gym but don’t worry I’ll be back with some big knock outs '.
