The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thibodeaux lands the left hand.
A big right from Thomas misses.

Thomas stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Thibodeaux.
A jab from Thomas finds it's way through Thibodeaux's defenses.

Thomas misses with a hook. Thibodeaux ducked under it nicely.

and Thibodeaux counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Thomas throws an overhand right that lands on Thibodeaux's shoulder, as Thibodeaux tries to avoid the shot.
Thomas scores with a jab to the head.
Thomas scores a flash knockdown with a right hook that drops Thibodeaux to his hands and knees! The ref pushes Thomas away as he looks to land an illegal blow. Thibodeaux got an extra few seconds to recover there, which could have made all the differences as he stumbles back to his feet. The referee looks into his eyes and decides to allow the bout to continue. Can he survive?!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Thomas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Thibodeaux slips a jab from Thomas.
Thibodeaux walks into a straight right hand and goes down! Thomas rushes to a neutral corner so the count doesn't get delayed but Thibodeaux has made it back to his feet on 5. He's OK so we're back to the action.
Thibodeaux ducks under a wild hook from Thomas.
Thibodeaux cracks Thomas with a good jab.
Thibodeaux slips a jab from Thomas.
Thibodeaux looks to score with a jab to the body but Thomas is just out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Thibodeaux walks straight into devastating uppercut and drops to the floor, clearly wobbled! Can he beat the count? 4,5,6,7... he's up! And he's down again! The ref steps in and calls an end to the fight! What a punch that was!
