The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Boomer sprawls well. Boomer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Adams gets slowly back to his feet.
Adams ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Adams with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Boomer to score with a decent uppercut.
Boomer looks to throw a body kick

and Adams counters with a single leg into guard. Boomer didn't expect that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boomer looking for a sweep. Not yet Boomer, not yet.
Adams stays in close to Boomer's body and controls the position.
Adams works over Boomer with some ground and pound from guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Adams postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Adams's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Boomer is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Adams loads up on a big left hand. Boomer felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Adams looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Boomer can't hide his disappointment, as Adams celebrates the victory.
