The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LaFleur connects with a crisp jab.
LaFleur will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A lazy left from Gunter finds it's target.
Gunter looks to score with a jab to the body but LaFleur is just out of range.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Gunter enables LaFleur to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gunter manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

LaFleur throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Gunter uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from LaFleur.
LaFleur shoots for a takedown but Gunter saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
LaFleur walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Horrible takedown attempt by Gunter or perhaps it was just good defense by LaFleur, which made it look bad.
