Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jyrki Mallasvuo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tauno Tolonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tolonen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Hurt me. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tolonen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Mallasvuo is refusing to be controlled, as Tolonen sits in half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Tolonen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Tauno Tolonen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tolonen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mallasvuo circles away quickly and effectively.
Tolonen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tolonen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mallasvuo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tolonen as he avoids it easily.
Tolonen just misses with a punch to the body.
Mallasvuo moves out of range as Tolonen throws a body kick.
Tolonen's corner calls for a 1-2. Tolonen obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

It looks like Jyrki Mallasvuo has been cut.
A nice inside leg kick there by Tolonen. That's going to slow Mallasvuo down.
A left lands for Tolonen.
The fighters circle momentarily. Tolonen darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Tolonen gets a clinch.

Tolonen scores with a sloppy right hand. Mallasvuo should have avoided that one.
Tolonen comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Mallasvuo takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Tolonen is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Mallasvuo hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
