The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hyrra throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Starling's waist but Starling gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hyrra off to one side.

Starling scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Hyrra tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Hyrra on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hyrra tries to get out of the position.

Starling is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hyrra knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Hyrra is looking for a sweep.
Hyrra is working hard here to advance position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hyrra is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Starling off and has taken his back!
Hyrra is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Starling up.
Hyrra definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Starling is trapped and Hyrra is scoring with shots to the head and body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Starling rolls, trying to escape but Hyrra keeps control of the position.

Hyrra lands punches and elbows.
Hyrra scores with punches from the back.
Hyrra lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Hyrra.

Starling is rocked!

It looks like Carleton Starling has been cut.

Hyrra looking to break Starling's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Starling remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Hyrra will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Starling is still in real trouble! Can Hyrra finish him?

Starling really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hyrra. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hyrra lands with a hammerfist to the side of Starling's head.
Hyrra cracks Starling with a big right hand from the back mount! Starling immediately covers up and the referee dives in to save him under a barrage of more strikes! Hyrra takes this one by TKO!
