Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Silva (ranked 2629 p4p, 3369 weight class) and Ezekiel Marley (ranked 105 p4p, 141 weight class). Marley has chosen EMOTIONALLY SCARRED as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ezekiel Marley!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva punishes Marley's body with a nice straight punch.
Silva avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Silva displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Marley throws out the jab.
Marley connects with a nice looking jab.
Silva takes a swing at Marley's ribcage but misses.
Marley throws a jab but it's blocked by Silva.
Marley catches Silva with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Silva throws a body shot but no joy.
Marley paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Marley wants to clinch up but Silva keeps it at a distance.
Marley uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Silva.
Marley throws a quick inside leg kick.
Marley takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Silva wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Silva shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Marley is trying to defend but Silva finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Silva is pressing down on Marley's thigh, looking to free his foot. Marley is holding on for now.

Silva tries to pass to full mount but Marley defends it.
Marley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Marley has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Silva is on him like a limpet, forcing Marley back against the cage.

Marley's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Silva throws a body shot but no joy.

Silva seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

It seemed like Marley was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Marley connects with a single shot there.
Marley thumps Silva with a low kick.
Marley doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Marley lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Silva uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Marley.
Silva fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Marley manages to avoid it.

Marley throws a jab but it's blocked by Silva.

Alex Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Marley has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Silva throws a looping overhand right but Marley ducks down to avoid it.
Silva looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Marley dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Silva. That did some damage!

Silva is looking to wear down Marley with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Marley only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Marley uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Silva.
Marley uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Silva.
Marley swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Silva throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Silva on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Marley throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Silva has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Marley.
Marley lands a jab to the nose.

Marley gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Silva to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Marley manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Silva is breathing heavily.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Marley obliges.
Still in the clinch, Marley scores with a nice short uppercut.
A right hook to the body lands for Marley.
Marley lands an elbow inside.
Marley blocks an uppercut.
Marley can't find room to land a body shot as Silva controls the action.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Marley crunches a lovely knee into Silva's ribcage.
Marley with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Marley makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Marley scores with a shot to the side of Silva's head.

Silva takes a knee right on the jaw!

Marley breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Marley sends Silva crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Marley is motioning to the referee to let Silva up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Silva is rocked!
Marley is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Silva had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Marley lands with a shot to the body.
Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Crunch! Marley slams his shin into Silva's torso.
Marley scores with a jab to the head.
Marley lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Silva up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Marley from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Silva's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
